IPMI channel selection does not manage related configuration
On the IPMI configuration screen there is a drop down that lets you select which IPMI channel you wish to configure. When changing the value of the drop down (selecting a channel), the related fields (IP Address config) are not updated either to show the current configuration or to allow you to configure the specific IPMI channel you have selected.
I am running on a FreeNAS Mini, which has two IPMI channels (1 and 8). The FreeNAS GUI only lets you actually edit the first IPMI channel, and of course, on this box the dedicated IPMI Ethernet port is mapped to channel 8, so you can't use the GUI to configure IPMI on the FreeNAS Mini.
Attached are screen shots showing the UI and the output of the config via ipmitool.
The behavior I would expect is that changing the IPMI channel drop down would display the current related configuration for the selected channel (and upon apply would save the displayed configuration to the selected channel).

My mini is still in storage, but a couple observations.
It looks like changing the IPMI channel number in the GUI doesn't update the network info, however it should save that form just fine.
Are you sure saving the form with the dropdown set to 8 doesn't alter ipmi lan channel 8?

My apologies, looks like it does in fact save the form. You do have to enter complete, valid information - if you forget to specify the netmask, it fails. I must have missed the exact combination of correct data on each of my tries.
Note that the visual indication of success or failure of the save is subtle - you have a light grey status box that fades in and appears for a few seconds in the black title are of FreeNAS web page.
I retract the statement that you can't manage the second IPMI channel. I still think it is a bug that when you select an IPMI channel, you don't see the current configuration associated with it.
I would add as a feature request/suggestion that the feedback of failure to save be more visually obvious. If seems that if you enter invalid data, it takes a long time to save, so long that my eyes shifted to a different screen and I missed the failure message.
