History

#1 Updated by Sean Fagan almost 5 years ago

  • Status changed from Unscreened to Screened

This is due to how the ChangeLog.txt file lines are generated. Part of the build.

It's been going on like this months.

#2 Updated by Sean Fagan almost 5 years ago

  • Category changed from 1 to 4
  • Assignee changed from Sean Fagan to Vaibhav Chauhan

As I said, this is due to how the ChangeLog is generated for the release. It consists of dozens if not hundreds of entries having only

833b989 Revert "Revert "Revert "add Riak CS / Riak CS control / Stancion to build"""

Yeah, those are really lame. We should figure out (VB should figure out :) ) how to make the make-changelog shell function in build/release.sh simply return an empty string (and not generate a changelog file at all) if there were no commits in a 24 hour period since the last one.

Actually, the problem was the ChangeLog file in the nightlies' FN directory that had been around since Aug 2.

Now that he's removed it, things should be cooking with plasma.
