Description

Fresh install 9.3.1 Importing 9.2.0 detached encrypted and non encrypted USB's and Disks. If you import a USB first, disks disappear.

4 USB drives
F/N 8GB
USB1 8GB not encrypted
USB2 8GB not encrypted
USB3 8GB encrypted

1 disk 2TB encrypted
1 disk 3TB encrypted
2 500GB disks striped encrypted

Fresh install straight to Import Volumes > all disks are present > import a USB da* first and on second import a disk ada* is missing. Import another USB and again you lose another ada* disk.

Tried many things zfs geli zpool import export and others and failed (noob) Only way to recover for me was to reload 'Inital-Install' boot environment. If you import disks first you do not loose any disks.

took about 5 hours of searching and trying without success until it dawned on me, start again.

BRB: Wow. This is the edge of an edge case, but you found it and cut yourself! Thanks for the bug report. We will try to reproduce this and figure out what's going on.

JFYI, using USB devices for ZFS pools is kind of a bad idea.

In general they are remotely attached and only hold scripts for auto decryption of the volumes and have not had any issues, but going on your suggestion what else would I use? I need three USB's one of which needs to be encrypted.

Timing out and closing - no one else is hitting this edge case.
