Hi,

I would like to add few domain contrllers to a single freenas server so that it can authenticate two or more Domain controllers while accessing the folders in freenas

Hi John,

In my network environment already i added a domain controller (ssd.local) to freenas for windows AD authentication and now i have another new domain controller(in.spinsci.com) for which the same freenas needs to be authenticated for this new domain users also.Is it possible??

What you are asking is done automatically already. When you add additional domain controllers to Active Directory, they are added to the SRV records for the domain. FreeNAS will pick whichever DC is closest and responding. There is nothing to do here.

Hi John,

Actually, my 1st DC is in one domain(SSD.LOCAL) and i need to add another new DC which is another domain(IN.SPINSCI.COM) so when ever a user form IN.SPINSCI.COm tries to use the NFS share it should authenticate but in my case it not allowing users.

We don't support joining more than one domain. If you would like to be able to authenticate against more than one domain, then establish a trust relationship between the two domains and check the "allow trusted domains" option in the Active Directory configuration.
