Description

Hello, and thanks for the help offered previously with ticket #1104. I’ve followed the advice from that case, and have rebuilt these systems using much larger CPUs (dual Xeon E5504) and 48GB of RAM. I have not been able to replace the same [[FreeNAS]] system from ticket #1104; this is a different unit doing much the same job.

This system, “SANskrit”, is servicing up ZVols via iSCSI to three different ESXi 4.1 hosts. These systems are all using the software initiators included in VMware, and all have access to the same storage for load-balance clustering.

However, when the system is loaded a little too far, we are having iSCSI command problems. It really appears as if this system may be no faster than the old one.

I’ve attached logs for the three ESX hosts and the NAS itself; I can provide a hardware and configuration list if needed.

Can someone please take a look at these logs, and help me get this system capable for ESX datastores?

Thanks!
-Dave
