Description

Hello,

I was hoping you could please help me debug as to why our FreeNAS Mini reboots itself every 3-4 days at random times of day.

What's peculiar is that in /var/log/messages, I don't see any calls for a reboot or anything of the sort.

Any help you can provide would be great.

Thanks,
Vincent Marquez

You're having a kernel panic that was fixed a few months ago. Update the system to the latest version.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the advice. Do I just apply the updates that pertain to FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE or should I move up to 9.10?

Will applying the updates cause a reboot of the appliance?

Thanks,
Vincent Marquez

9.3-STABLE has the fix.

The update has a "reboot after applying" checkbox.

You'll need to reboot to activate the fix.
