Description

I wanted to test my laptop (Windows 10) to see if it could connect to my FreeNAS server but it keep's saying this message and I tested it on another PC (windows 7) and it worked so I tested it on another PC (windows 10) and it had the same error message so I think there needs to be an update to work with windows 10 and 7.
Here are some screen shots to show you I hope this helps.

Interesting bits from your debug:

from /var/log/messages (but this may just be harmless since I think it was fixed in a later build, looping in Erin to help debug this)

Jun 10 16:06:58 freenas generate_smb4_conf.py: [generate_smb4_conf:1474] Unable to open /var/db/samba4/private/secrets.tdb: [Errno 2] No such file or directory

Also from /var/log/messages

/var/tmp/rc.conf.freenas: =NO: not found
Jun 18 18:38:14 freenas notifier: /var/tmp/rc.conf.freenas: 29: Syntax error: Unterminated quoted string

Can you please ssh into your machine and get me the current /var/tmp/rc.conf.freenas (just to see what exactly is causing this unterminated string issue, even though it may just end up not being related).

Also please specify on your network which ip/ips corresponds to the windows 7 machine and which do for the windows10 machine that you tested this out from. This information will help me sift through the samba logs.

@Liam Dann Any chance you can get the requested information this week so that I can further debug this.

Thanks

I am soo sorry for the long reply but I don't know how to ssh into my server I have tried but I am sorry I don't like messing with things that work in case I break it I would love to help you out I only submitted this bug to see if it would help out. By the way, I love the work that you do.
but I can give you the ips of the computers if that helps Windows 7(192.168.0.10) windows 10(19) FreeNAS server (192.168.0.26)

I hope this helps. I am sorry I cant help more
