Description

  1. enable custom gateway
  2. enable custom DNS, two entries
  3. use those two servers without difficulty
  4. shut down, start
  5. disable custom gateway
  6. disable custom DNS
  7. apply
  8. close PC-BSD Network Manager
  9. reopen PC-BSD Network Manager

Expected:

  • no custom DNS

Actual result:

  • custom DNS still enabled

Workaround:

  • restart the operating system.

Speeding through this … if I recall correctly (from a few hours ago) another workaround may be:

  • whilst the box for custom DNS is checked
  • curse to the end of the address field
  • backspace until all parts of the address are erased
  • then clear the checkmark from the box.
