Description

This issue is on Version 8.2.0-RELEASE-p1.

In the GUI you can add some security features for CIFS shares. Under Shares->Windows (CIFS)->Edit->Advanced Mode there is a field named "Hosts Allow". The info button says you can add hosts by name or ip.

The problem is adding hosts by name does not work in the default configuration. Hostnames will not be resolved correctly until you also add the following entry in the GUI field Services->Core->CIFS->Settings->Auxiliary parameters: hostname lookups = Yes

Maybe this should be added as a default entry in smb.conf.

Kind regards
