Description

The documentation gives an example for mounting a NFS share (chapter 10.2.2.1.):

mount -t nfs 192.168.2.2:/mnt/data

In the previous chapters a share was created, but was namend differently (and better!):

/mnt/volume1/nfs_share1

The problem with /mnt/data is, that one has no idea, what the volume and what the share is. Especially for newbies this might be confusing and / or lead to not so optimal configurations.

BRB: any updates on this ticket ?

#5 Updated by Warren Block almost 3 years ago

  • Status changed from Unscreened to Screened

The text is easy to fix. But this also affects the Mac screenshots, so access to a Mac, or someone willing to recreate the environment to capture the screenshots is needed.

  • % Done changed from 0 to 20

Mac located, screenshot created thanks to SamB. The text is confusing and needs work, but can be done soonish.

Hi Warren, it looks like one spot was missed in the docs. Please see screenshot. Otherwise it looks like all references in the NFS section of the Guide do have the better exampled wording.
