Description

I just went to add 2 more Hard Drives to my ZFS array and every time I click the Volume Manager button I get the following error

{"error": true, "message": "Error: no such column: services_iscsitargetextent.iscsi_target_extent_legacy", "events": []}

Currently Running 9.10 Stable with the most recent updates System build is in my signature. Not sure where to proceed on troubleshooting.

Do you have a /data/update.failed file?

Have you ever run nightlies before?

I have not run Nightlies at all. I do have a update.failed file. I've attached it

Seems like output is a bit truncated for w/e reason.

Can you run and save the output of:

  1. cd /usr/local/www/freenasUI
  2. python manage.py migrate --merge

Thanks!

I believe I saved the output correctly, it is attached.

also I've now noticed that my services window is also broken and gives the following error

{"error": true, "message": "Error: no such column: services_ups.ups_optionsupsd", "events": []}

Can you try running this command:

# wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/freenas/freenas/fb509878a47176a3bc66f4e27652682bb8e7592a/gui/services/migrations/0192_netbiosname_split.py -O /usr/local/www/freenasUI/services/migrations/0192_netbiosname_split.py

And then try migrate again:

# cd /usr/local/www/freenasUI
# python manage.py migrate --merge

OK, i ran those commands, here is the new merge output

You are not catching the standard error output of that command.

try this:

# bash
# cd /usr/local/www/freenasUI
# python manage.py migrate --merge 2>&1 > /tmp/output

Then grab /tmp/output

Thanks

Sorry about that, I am not very well versed in Unix Shell, I mostly use the GUI from a windows machine. But here is that output file

Not your fault, it was mine, sorry, try again like this:

# bash
# cd /usr/local/www/freenasUI
# python manage.py migrate --traceback --merge 2>&1 > /tmp/output

Note the --traceback part

Thanks again.

This did not do the trick either... any chance you can send me your configuration file? william at ixsystems.com ?

#17 Updated by Mark Falconi over 2 years ago

I just emailed you my config file

I dont see how your database would be possible without some sort of downgrade.

But here is how you can workaround it:

# cd /usr/local/www/freenasUI
# python manage.py migrate storage --fake 0057
# python manage.py migrate storage --fake 0058
# python manage.py migrate --merge

Awesome that worked! Could you elaborate on why my database should be impossible? cause its weird, It has been operating fine, I had 2 3TB disks that I had my data stored on, I purchased 2 more 3TB disks that I wanted to add so that I had some redundancy

it looks like this configuration file has suffered from a downgrade at some point... e.g. 9.10.1 -> 9.10 or something similar. Although I don't know how that might have happened.
