Description

The capacity for the volume 'freenas-boot' is currently at 92%, while the recommended value is below 80%.

Boot drive appears to be filling up on its own. I only have 2 boot environments

Something is filling it up. I had 3 boot environments and I deleted 'default'

Doing so did not lower the amount of used space on my boot drive.

I've only had this server up and running for about a month and somehow 32GB boot drive is already 92% full

Hi, Im sorry I bothered you guys with this. It appears that the FTP webcam that I had set up was writing to the boot device instead of the FTP share I had created.

It looks like after FTP share had filled up its 24GB quota the FTP camera started writing to the boot drive?

I dont know enough about freenas to confrim this but I noticed that after turning off the FTP service the boot device stopped filling up.

Is it considered a bug for one of the services to be able to write directly to the boot devices? I didnt think this would be possible. So maybe its a good thing I reported this.

Yea, we do have some legit reasons that it may be handy to write to the boot pool. I'm going to mark this one as wontfix for now.
