Description

Maybe the same as #13532, just I did not receive any notifications from the system, I open a new ticket here.

Basically after one week the 200G cache devices show 16.0E free space in zpool iostat -v.

I dont know if it could have any impact on the system, or just the accounting is wrong.

For now I've removed the cache devices, but would like to use them.

My first guess would be that it is an another accounting error, but for sure I could say only after fixing it.

Now I removed the cache devices for sure. How could I help debugging this issue? I am managing 6 freenas boxes with the same version right now, nearly with the same setup (ZIL + L2 as well), but only one produced this after a week. Pool sizes differ though.

I will be out of office for a week, so I will not be able to provide you with debugging. But looking forward for ideas, clues.

Thanks,

I believe this issue might be connected to Bug #19953, and it seems to affect both ARC and L2ARC.
Question is whether it is "only" a reporting / accounting issue or there is something seriously wrong with the way how the ARCs are managed, 2nd option would be scary.

Is there any news on this issue? On other boxes with the same version the accounting seems to be fine, of course they have different load on them. Am I risking anything when using L2 devices with this freenas version?
