Description

As of 9.10.1-U4, a Samsung MFP could access a share with its dedicated user/pass combination.

Immediately after updating to 9.10.2-U2, the same MFP, with the same user/pass combination, cannot access the share. The error that shows in log.smbd is "check_ntlm_password: Authentication for user [samsungmfp] -> [samsungmfp] FAILED with error NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD".

Resetting the password on both FreeNAS and the MFP, and even changing it, didn't help.

After booting back to 9.10.1-U4, everything works properly again.

Can you try this:

setting 'ntlm auth = yes' in the global auxiliary parameters for smb

see for xp clients: https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/21946

Sorry for disappearing. This solved the issue at the time.
