Hi,

SSH into your FreeNAS box and do the following steps:
1) ls /dev/vmm
2) Identify the VM name that is stuck.
3) bhyvectl --destroy --vm=<NAME>

Let me know if it works for you!

Yes that worked, now my next question is why does it keep hanging up to begin with?

Any news Randy? Did you have enough time to check it?

Best,

I mean the vm will be running, and I'll be in it doing things like windows updates or whatever and the whole thing just locks up. It does this constantly.

  • Status changed from 15 to Screened
  • Target version changed from 11.1 to 11.2-BETA1

It is an upstream problem with bhyve and not direct related with FreeNAS implementation.
I will putting it to target version 11.2 while I'm following the bhyve investigation of this issue.

Randy: does this issue persist on 11.1? If so, please attach a new debug from the 11.1 system.
