What operation are you running that involves a tarball extraction?

I am not sure. I haven't experience this before.

Did you start an upgrade? Install a new plugin? Transcode something with plex?

No, i just upgrade a few days ago and i haven't installed a new plugin but i have tired to add a jail but I didn't close it because it was stuck on 83% so i left the tab opened and went to sleep. When i came back my system sleep and when i rebooted the page reload and the jail wasn't on the list. Im pretty sure it isn't plex as it been running for 22 hours and most of streams are direct play/stream or light encodes which usually doesn't use full cpu usages only burst.

I was going to reboot freenas and see if it fixes the issue.

A reboot should fix it.
