Description

Since who-knows-how-long, iSCSI has been noticeably faster when using zvols+device extents instead of file-based extents. The latter option exists mostly for compatibility with older setups that have yet to migrate.

This fact should be mentioned in section 10.5.6 of the manual, Extents.

I also believe UNMAP is only supported on device extents... correct?
