This issue doesn't seem to be on the UI side, I can build the UI and use it against an older middleware just fine, William is something going on on the middlware side?

No as far as I am aware. Middleware QA tests are happy.

Alright well maybe tomorrow's nightly will work a little better. Websockets are giving me "502 Bad Gateway", we have seen nightlies in the past few weeks with websocket issues and after a few days a new one builds and works fine.

#5 Updated by William Grzybowski over 3 years ago

If the UI cant connect to websocket it should be absolutely explicit about it and not even show login form.

Actually upon reboot I am now noticing that it is not having that problem, I will hang on to this ticket for a day and see if we are still having any issues tomorrow

Good point William, I will make a separate ticket for that one. also while my UI is able to login, various things in the UI are not working. It seems pretty inconsistently broken.

Upon further inspection, my other issues were fixed with a hard browser refresh, must have been a caching problem.

Interestingly, I was able to login after updating it to the latest nightly today. After restarting the browser, I was not able to login again... and i think latest nightly is still FreeNAS-11-MASTER-201712250515! although it should be 20171228.

20171228 did not build because of builder problems.

I have restarted the build a couple hours ago, it should be ready by now, BTW.

There is a fix in this PR that should hide the login page and show a message about the system not being available if the websocket is not connected, it should hopefully help with this in the future
