Description

In 11.1-RELEASE I have a Windows 7 VM which fails to work with certain VNC resolutions (scrambled screen) while others it works fine. I suspect the stride value isn't being set for resolutions which need a stride other than 0 (surmised from google research and looking at the VNC API). It should be reproducible, the 1024x768 resolution always works with my Windows 7 VM, yet choosing 1400x1050 resolution triggers the issue.

I just confirmed Ubuntu does this too with the same resolutions. Not Windows specific.

Looking here: https://github.com/churchers/vm-bhyve/wiki/UEFI-Graphics-(VNC) It seems the UI lists resolutions VNC doesn't support in Bhyhve

Supported resolutions:

1920 x 1200
1920 x 1080
1600 x 1200
1600 x 900
1280 x 1024
1280 x 720
1024 x 768
800 x 600
640 x 480
