Description

Since upgrading to 11 branch my cron jobs are not emailing the results of script execution. I consider this behaviour a bug because all branches worked fine with no additional configuration. Email is correctly configured and tested. Thanks.

Rafael: which version did you update from? Also, please attach a debug (System -> Advanced -> Save Debug) and the script which is failing to send the email.

#2 Updated by Rafael Corrales over 1 year ago

It fails with any script, updated from 9.10 (last STABLE)

Example of script:

#!/bin/sh
sysctl -a |egrep -E "cpu\.[0-9]+\.temp"

(get CPU core temperatures and stdout send email as usual until 11 branch).

For security reasons we can not attach debug file, it contains confidential information about our corporate network. Can you be more specific about the info you need? Thanks.

Are there any errors in the sendmail log or /var/log/messages?

#4 Updated by Rafael Corrales over 1 year ago

I did a check and there is no sendmail o log entries. I think the messages are simply not sent from cron jobs. As soon as I have spare time I will try to find the cause, but probably I am not the only one with the same mail issue.

Rafael: I'll mark this ticket as a duplicate of another one that seems similar to your situation.
