Description

I have 2 FreeNAS boxes now, specifically to test replication and other "poor man's fail-over" features. Setting up replication was definitely an opaque process, something I'll address in a different bug, but worse yet, even after doing everything presumably correctly, it just doesn't work and I have no UI feedback or even any useful logging information to go on as to why.

If I set up box A to replication a ZFS dataset to box B, and that replication doesn't happen for some reason (authentication error, failure to find a suitable target filesystem, disk space full, whatever) then I should get a useful alert to that effect.

I would also sort of expect the alert system to be used for any periodic job that fails, since otherwise how do I know it's failing?
