Description

Certain setups work with HTTPS-only (or heavily rely on HTTPS). An expired certificate is at least a PITA.

I suggest that the GUI will somehow indicate when a certificate is about to expire some time before it actually does.
Further, indicate in the certificates list when a certificate has already expired (cross it with a line?) so it is not picked by mistake.

I would also love to have this kind of thing reported in through the email system. I think it is important enough.
