Description

I already manage my own certificates through Let's Encrypt more or less automatically. Please add LE support inside the web interface to create/renew the certificate for the web interface. Could even be inside a jail :)

History

#1 Updated by Sean Fagan about 2 years ago

The most common way to get a LE certificate requires putting the system on the open internet, which is generally advised against for FreeNAS.

For a while they had been making noises of deprecating the DNS verification method, but that's become the only way to do a wildcard certificate, so that adds some possibilities. This adds some additional complexities, however.
