Description

I had an old drive that had a lot of pending bad sectors. I replaced the drive but the UI doesn't clear the error message after replace/resilver. I believe this should be cleared after a drive is replaced without requiring a reboot.

Current drive (smartctl -a <drive>):

197 Current_Pending_Sector 0x0012 100 100 000 Old_age Always - 0

Did you physically remove the disk?

#3 Updated by JR Gonzalez almost 2 years ago

Yes. Removed from UI. Physically removed the drive. Replaced in UI. Resilvered new drive. Error persists in UI. Drive was formerly da1. New drive is also da1.

Vladimir can you investigate this please? There is code to remove smart alerts in middleware disk plugin based on devd event, that must be malfunctioning for some reason.
