CIFS only reading Auxiliary group
On Apple Maverick (10.6.8)
I have a number of CIFS shares set up and I can see them in Finder. However, whenever I try to access the share I am told it cannot be found.
If I add permissions for a group that is my primary login group I can access everything just fine. However, if I remove that group and add an auxiliary group that I am a part of I can no longer access the share. This is the same with user permissions.

- Status changed from Unscreened to Closed: Behaves correctly
This behaves correctly, since files are only readable by group. You should either use the Windows 7 client, logged in as the owner of the share, to set the group ACL as appropriate or use the Get Info feature of Finder, again with the share connected as the owner, to apply group read/write permissions.

Just to clarify, they files are only readable by the PRIMARY login group, not by any of the auxiliary groups.
1. So if my primary log in group is IT, but I also belong to: management and designer.
2. And the file has the following ACL:
I can read/edit the file.
However if the file only has:
I cannot access the file even though I am a member of both those groups.
Are you saying that is normal?
