Description

Configuring directory services should be optional, however, there is no "None" option for the type and you can't click "Skip" either (which I think is the right solution).

Allow to skip the Directory Service screen by not entering any data Now one can skip the Directory Service screen simply by not entering any data and clicking "Next". Ticket: #5898

Yeah, I was just waiting for this ticket to come in since you had not answered this question over IRC ;)

For a moment I though we should just allow to click Next of the fields are blank instead of the Skip button, because we already have so many buttons!

So what do you think? Allow to continue if all fields are blank or an extra Skip button?

I agree we don't want too many buttons - if Next works with blank fields to simply move past a wizard screen you don't want/need to use, that is fine with me!

While we are here, let me hijack the ticket. What about the preconditions to show the Directory service screen? Should we hide it in case there is a DS service already enabled?

Oh yeah, if there's already a DS enabled, we should totally skip it (just like we skip the pool setup if there's already a pool / no disks left).
