samba log spammed with "Could not find child xxxxx -- ignoring" messages
I use 220.127.116.11 with CIFS to share my files with my Windows client machines. Even if there's no data activity (i.e. through the night) i have lots of these messages in my log.smbd:
[2014/10/08 09:16:28.121081, 2] ../source3/smbd/server.c:437(remove_child_pid) Could not find child 89866 -- ignoring
I searched and found a bug report (from debian however) which should have been fixed in samba 3.6.0
On another site i found the hint to set:
printcap cache time = 0
in smb.conf. But as far as i understand, once the CIFS service gets restartet it automatically generates its smb.conf and i cannot add any changes.
How can this be fixed?
