Description

I run FreeNAS 11.1U6 and it is configured to get IP address from local DHCP server. It works....

There was a network problem few days ago, some problem at network switch, so packets from DHCP server were not forwared to FreeNAS server, DHCP lease was not refreshed and DHCP lease expired. So far, so good... ;-)

I found the network issue and rebooted the network switch to fix it. Network issue was resolved.

Unfortunately, FreeNAS was not able to ask for new IP address, it stayed in the state without IP address, I as not able to login with SSH, etc. This is a bug from my point of view.

I have several virtual machines running on my FreeNAS, most of them run Ubuntu Linux and are configured with dynamic IP address. These virtual instances were afected by the DHCP server failure too but were able to recover without manual action, they fetched new IP address from DHCP server once DHCP server was reachable...
