Description

The Virtual Machines section uses several different terms for the RancherOS VM that provides Docker Container support. There is:

  • Main page "Type" column: "Container Provider"
  • Main page "Actions" button: "Docker Container"
  • VM Creation Wizard "Virtual Machine Wizard Type" option: "Docker Host"
  • Inside the VM Serial Shell: "RancherOS"

This is confusing!

Proposed changes:
1. Search through freenas/webui to find all spots where a Docker Host term is used. Open PRs in freenas/webui to change the labels of the above mentioned items to a single unified term: "Docker Host"
2. Open PRs in freenas/freenas-docs to add replace all instances of Docker Host, Docker VM, Rancher VM, Container VM, etc. with a single term: |dock-vm|. Set up a substitution in conf.py to define the |dock-vm| replacement with the term "Docker Host".

Tim, just spotted this one.

What about
"Docker-HostVM"?

Encompasses the lot, with only 2 extra characters.
Worth a thought.

Testing:
1. (UI) Go to the Virtual Machines pages, including the New VM Wizard, and confirm all references to "Container Provider", "Docker VM", and "Docker Container" are updated to use the single term "Docker Host".

2. (Docs) Go to the Virtual Machines chapter of the angulargui branch FreeNAS guide and verify "Docker Host" is also the only term used.
